What’s the Best Pee Funnel?
Easiest Pee Funnel to Use:
Affordable at $11.99
This is easy for a beginner to use. You’re not going to squeeze it too hard, or place it wrong more than once.
It’s very easy to clean, probably the easiest pee funnel to clean in fact.
If you’re trying to minimize undressing, the pStyle can go in through the fly.
Not bulky; goes in cargo pocket. Very light weight.
Bottle-peeing definitely possible.
Comes in multiple pretty colors, in a recycled option, and in flesh-tones. Also the cases are lovely and have a carabiner.
A great deal at $10.59
The funnel is deep and overflow is unlikely.
The spout folds back, making it very easy to put into a pocket or bag.
It’s hard to squeeze or place wrong.
It can also theoretically go through the fly, though not as smoothly as a the pStyle or Freshette. You’d need men’s pants or pants with a front-to-back zipper. But if that’s not a thing for you, this pee funnel is an easy place to start.
Bottle-peeing is a go!
Probably the easiest pee funnel to use while wearing pants. It’s small and easy to slip into place, but doesn’t overflow because the tube is sufficiently wide.
Highly portable with a tube that folds back OR retracts (depending on model). Pocket-sized.
Depending on what model you get, the tube should detach, making it easier to clean.
You can definitely pee in bottles, and you can also order pee bags. The version on Amazon comes with them.
Good projection on this pee funnel! The 7 inch tube is no joke.
This is a little pricier at 23.95$, but it is extremely durable.
Best Pee Funnels to Pee in a Bottle:
This one’s common sense. If it has a tube, it will be easier. What is best will depend a lot on your logistics, but you may need to remove the extender.
Harder pee funnels like Freshette might be easier here as you don’t have to worry about squeezing the funnel by accident. SuAmiga is the firmest of the squishy funnels. A lot will depend on how skilled you are at working with the STP in your pants.
To be clear, you can still pee in a bottle with a trough model. It’s just a little more work.
As stated, the Freshette pee funnel sold on Amazon comes with bags, or you can order directly from the site. However, the bags will not work if you REALLY, REALLY have to pee. The size works for an ordinary pee, not an emergency pee.
Recovering from surgery? Gonna be in a weird position? Check out Freshette’s 36 inch tube.
Ultra Light Pee Funnels:
Of course the GoPee (15.99$), which can be flattened into a sheet, has to take this spot. It’s by the far the most portable.
It’s not complex origami: the design is very clear.
It assembles to be as long as a pStyle pee funnel, so you don’t compromise projection, and is easy to use.
A downside: it’s very quick to fold into a funnel, but it’s still slower than just pulling out a whole device.
The pStyle is very lightweight at .8 oz, though it does not flatten.
The smallest pee funnel is Pibella, but as discussed below, that model is love or hate. If it works for you, it is definitely ultra light!
Are you going ULTRA, ULTRA light and don’t want to take a pee funnel at all? More power to you. Check out these front-to-back zipper pants for easy squatting: Gnara or Ziphers.
Love/Hate:
Pibella, 22.25$: so discreet and simple. You don’t have to wipe; it places directly over the urethra. Feels so clean.
But if you place it wrong, there is pee everywhere!
Your mileage may vary about reusing something that goes between the labia. People feel differently about this.
If that doesn’t bug you, and you are willing to put in the time, this is a great option. If.
Full disclosure: I could get this to work, but not reliably. I wanted to love it, so I really tried! But a pee funnel has to work ALL the time, so it’s a no from me. However, a good friend of mine LOVES hers. It works every time, and she’s had overflow problems with other pee funnels. Everyone is different!
Other Good Mentions:
Tinkle Belle is the most expensive trough model (27.50$) but is thicker than the others, projects further, and is smaller in storage due to the bendy spout. It’s a little heavier duty, but is probably one of the more durable STPs.
Squishy pee funnels are great to pack or put in pockets. No hard edges. If that aspect is important to you consider a squishy funnel.
The Pee Conch (19.99$) is very easy to use and is highly portable. The only reason I didn’t put it under “Easiest to Use” is that it’s a little tricky to collapse again, and because you can’t put it through your zipper.
If you’re not someone who carries an STP on them, but aren’t sure about a situation, slipping a Sanigirl (9.99$) in your pocket is not a bad idea. Also, if you have a kid who isn’t ready to have their own STP, the kids’ size funnel is a great option to learn on.
Caveats:
Any of the squishy funnels (GoGirl, SuAmiga, Sunany) are difficult to work with in very tight clothing. So if that’s what you prefer to wear, try a more firm STP.
The GoPee and any model with an extension tube do take a split second to put together. If speed or one-handedness is your thing, be aware.
Venus to Mars is very cheap and small, but bear in mind it’s the Amazon knockoff pStyle (it comes in the same colors— but not flesh tones). The reviews complain of overflow. An actual pStyle has a larger capacity.
Worst Pee Funnels:
This really disappointed me. The two big names, SheWee and GoGirl, the ones women are most likely to try for the first time, were the hardest to use and least reliable.
SheWee Extreme is very hard to learn, and I still can’t use it reliably… and I learned to use 15 STPs. SheWee Flex is easier, but I can’t get either to work reliably in pants. Sure, I could keep trying, but why? There are so many other equally discreet options. If you are looking for a discreet, hard pee funnel, get a Freshette or a pStyle.
GoGirl isn’t hard to use if you remember not to squeeze, but it’s really flimsy and tricky to hold in place without squeezing. You can’t slide it through your zipper and you will have to completely undo you pants. Some people report having to pull their pants down. Also, the extension tube (if you get the pack that comes with an extension tube!) doesn’t connect securely. If you want a squishy pee funnel, get a Su Amiga.
If these work for you, awesome! As for me, I’ve moved on. Even I can only pee on myself so many times.
What’s the best pee funnel? The one that works for you! Below are my findings about the fifteen pee funnels I tested.
For a detailed description of each stand-to-pee device, see the Stand-to-Pee Device Reviews section. There are pictures of each individual product. It’s easier to read that first.
This section focuses on what to look for and compares different STPs. There’s a full list of links for pee funnels at the bottom of the page.
How do I choose a stand-to-pee device?
What will I be wearing?
Do I need to carry my STP on my person?
How stealthy/covered up do I need to be?
Do I need to pee in into a bottle?
Do I want to invest time to learn my pee funnel?
What feels good to my body? Some people love rubbery pee funnels. Some people despise them. Same with troughs. What works?
How much am I willing to spend?
Some basic advice:
If you have no idea what to get, and you can afford it, get two different kinds of pee funnel. You will almost certainly develop a preference.
Even if you don’t buy from Amazon, read the reviews.
Imagine holding the device. Does it seem like it could be a buddy?
If you like how it looks, even down to color, that will help.
Unless you plan to put a used pee funnel in your pocket or pack, get a case!
The right STP for you is the one that you feel most comfortable using and which works for you consistently. Everything else is icing on the cake! Here’s a list of pee funnel links. Go nuts.
