Pee Funnel
Reviews
Below are my descriptions of seventeen stand-to-pee devices (STPs, or pee funnels). For my overall conclusions and links to the funnels, see What’s the Best Pee Funnel? Some pee funnels have creator interviews on the blog. Check out the blog archive.
Colors will vary; Sharpie for scale. Where possible, I have linked directly to the product site; some pee funnels are available only on Amazon.

Venus to Mars
pStyle
Tinkle Belle
-
Venus to Mars: black; pStyle: turquoise; Tinkle Belle: black and green.
Hard plastic (but the rubber spout of the Tinkle Belle folds back for storage).
Basically a taco with the back end closed off.
Easy to slide into clothing.
Incredibly easy to clean, especially Venus to Mars and pStyle.
All project reasonably far from body, but do not compare to range of any funnel model with an extender.
Does not have to fit perfectly against your body to work, as long as you keep it tilted down.
You can pee in bottles, but it’s a little trickier than with a tube that slides into the bottle.
Venus to Mars is (by a hair) the smallest. It’s the same length as the pStyle, but slightly more shallow and just slightly lighter weight. Some have complained of overflow; I did not have that problem.
pStyle is the happy medium. Also sleek and simple, slightly less compact, slightly greater projection. This model is very popular.
pStyle does come in flesh tones! You’d have to buy directly from the website, not Amazon.
pStyle is VERY easy to use.
Tinkle Belle has the greatest projection, as it is the longest, and the spouts folds back for storage.
Weight of funnels without case: Venus to Mars is .65 oz. pStyle is .8 oz. Tinkle Belle is 1.8 oz.
My choice: the pStyle. Cheap, lightweight, and hard to mess up. Bonus points for coming in flesh tones. However! If you need glow-in-the-dark, Tinkle Belle has you covered.
GoGirl
Su Amiga
Sunany
-
GoGirl: pale pink; SuAmiga: blue; Sunany: magenta pink. GoGirl and Sunany have their extension tubes attached. (SuAmiga does not come with an extension tube.)
Many generic versions of these exist! If you want a squishy pee funnel and none of these work, keep searching, and read reviews.
Squishable, packable, and in the case of Go Girl and Su Amiga, pocketable.
These are a little harder to get into your pants without squishing them, so prepare for some maneuvering.
If you squeeze these while peeing, they will bend out of shape and spill pee.
GoGirl and Sunany pee funnels come with fun extension tubes; however, GoGirl might not depending on what package you buy. I strongly suggest getting a package with a tube. If you need to project, or are wearing bulky clothing, this is a great option.
SuAmiga has a plus size and a petite model of pee funnel. The petite model is pictured here.
SuAmiga is ribbed and collapsible, so it can flatten for a pocket. It’s also a firmer silicone, so harder to mush out of shape. GoGirl is much thinner and easier to bend out of shape; Sunany is closer to GoGirl in that respect.
Sunany is a relatively large pee funnel, so a little unwieldy, but the size also makes it very easy to place. It’s hard to mess this one up. In addition, although it is not marketed “plus size,” it is just larger.
Weight without case: Sunany is 3.2 oz. GoGirl is .07 without the tube. Su Amiga Petite is 1.9 oz, and Plus is 2.93 oz.
My choice: Su Amiga. Least likely to collapse.
Hard Funnels: Freshette ($23.95), EllaPee ($10.59), and SheWee Extreme and SheWee Flex ($16.22)
Freshette
EllaPee
SheWee Extreme
SheWee Flex
-
Freshette is army green with a clear tube; EllaPee is pale blue and dark blue, SheWee Extreme is solid blue, and SheWee Flex is khaki.
These are all MUCH easier to get into pants than squishy funnels. SheWee Flex is a little bendy, but still easy to insert.
You’re not going to mush these out of shape. They’re tough!
Freshette is designed to withstand extreme cold, and can be bought with a 36 or 48 inch tube for wheelchair use or van life. The tube folds back making the Freshette easy to discreetly carry. Easy to use, overflow unlikely.
EllaPee does not go into pants as easily as the Freshette, but is still very easy to use and the funnel is bendy for storage. It’s simple and lightweight and unlikely to cause overflow.
Both SheWees require PRACTICE. The SheWee Extreme especially is difficult to place correctly, and hard to wipe with. The SheWee Flex is easier to place, but it’s less stable. However, with the extension tube, both work well through pants and are easy to carry discreetly. If that is your jam, set aside time to learn these ones.
Any of these, but especially the Freshette, is easy to use to pee into a bottle.
Weight without case: EllaPee is 1 oz. Freshette is 1.8 oz. SheWee Extreme is .7 oz, and SheWee Flex is 1.05 oz. I believe those SheWee weights are without the extension tube however.
My choice: Freshette. Durable and easy.
Pibella
GoPee
-
Pibella is the slim, pink straw; GoPee is orange.
I grouped these together because they are by far the most portable and lightweight; functionally they are quite different.
Pibella is placed directly over the urethra, which can feel quite invasive at first. Like the SheWee, this one takes some practice. One huge advantage: you don’t need to wipe! This one feels very clean. It will easily go through the fly of your pants. You can also boil it sterilize it. The Pibella is one people tend to love or hate. People who can use it reliably LOVE this model. People like me, who can only make it work 50% of the time, tend to find it maddening.
GoPee is unique on this list because it can be stored in your pocket as a flat sheet, then folded into the pee funnel shown above. This is not complex origami; it is very easy to assemble. It also doesn’t leak and has extremely good projection. Wiping is a little rougher because of the thin plastic, but doable. Be certain you hold it steady however; it is not made of hard plastic. If you can’t put a whole pee funnel in your pocket, this is a great choice!
Weight without case: GoPee is .6 oz. Pibella is .7 oz.
Both of these are highly portable and can be slipped into a pocket. The GoPee can be carried flat in its case, or you can keep it assembled and clip it to a carabiner.
My choice: GoPee. It’s just easier. But Pibella lovers would disagree!
Disposable Pee Funnels: Flenware Stand-and-Go ($5.99 for 10), Sanigirl ($9.99 for 10), Pee-Buddy ($8.50 for 10) and Woman’s Angel ($9.99 for 10).
Flenware
SaniGirl
Pee-Buddy
Woman’s Angel
-
Flenware pee funnel is red; Sanigirl pee funnel is white and brown; Pee-Buddy is green; Woman’s Angel is white.
People say these can feel “cleaner” since you throw them away after a single use (or put them in a ziplock to dispose of later).
With the exception of Flenware, these funnels fold flat, which makes it easy to pack one or two for emergencies. Flenware is round and the box is comparatively bulky.
Since they’re single use, you can give someone else who needs one an STP.
There are some obvious drawbacks: you might run out; if you need an STP regularly it is not cost effective; and it is less environmentally sound.
All are perfectly functional pee funnels with no leaks and good projection.
Since they are paper, you have to be a little cautious about getting them in your pants.
Be sure you press them snug against your body.
When might you use these? If the circumstance you need them for is a one-time thing; if you are nervous about germs (though as I have stated, STPs are easy to clean); if you fear commitment; if you want to bring enough for buddies.
Sanigirl also makes disposable funnels for kids, which is awesome! Small, disposable funnels are a great way for kids to practice.
Weight for one funnel: Sanigirl weighs .2 oz. A box of Pee-Buddy’s is 8 grams.
My choice: SaniGirl, for two reasons. One: it’s the smallest, so the easiest to slip in a pocket. Woman’s Angel and Pee-Buddy actually have a larger area than the GoPee. Two: the rounded edge makes the wipe-swipe easier.
New! Pee Conch ($19.99)
-
This is very large, but it collapses down to the same size as a Freshette pee funnel, although a little wider (roughly 5 inches long, two wide). The case it comes with IS quite large though, so if you want to put it in your pocket, I suggest a cotton bag.
Wide, easy to use opening. This is simple and hard to mess up.
You can’t pull this one through the fly, but if that’s not an issue to you, just unzipping the pants is enough.
With the extender, good projection.
A bit awkward, as it is very large when extended.
The downside: very tricky to collapse. If you like this model, practice collapsing the funnel BEFORE you’ve peed in it.
Weight without case: 1.76 oz.
Those are all the ones I could get my hands on! For my conclusions, check out What’s the Best Pee Funnel?
